General Practitioner - Cannington (Urgent Care)

• Salary up to $415k / locum $1400-$1700 / day

The Clinic
We require General Practitioners to work in this fantastic facility in Cannington.
This Urgent Care Centre is designed to manage acute but non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses which would otherwise present directly to an Emergency Department (Cat 4&5).

• Permanent salaried roles, casual & ad-hoc locum shifts are available
• This is a large, purpose-built facility with on-site:
• digital x-ray
• casting and splinting capability
• radiology
• facilities for minor procedures
• IV administration
• acute dental care

An Urgent Care Centre replicates some features of the hospital environment. Care is delivered in a large team-based, multi-bay department, with continual nursing support.
You’ll have specialists on call to provide orthopaedic and plastics advice throughout extended hours, rapid radiology reporting arrangements, and a review clinic to follow up results and manage non-operative fractures and injuries over time.
The service is very popular with patients and offers excellent clinical exposure for GPs who like to work in a team environment and manage injuries and non-life-threatening illnesses.

You’ll have the support of an effective management / corporate team, who take care of marketing, finance, and accreditation so that you just need to take care of your patients with full clinical independence.

  
Earnings

• Salaried roles, total salary package of up to $415k per annum
• Ad-hoc shift work is also very well paid:
• $1400 day shift (8am – 3pm )
• $1700 afternoon shift (3-10pm)

• Cannington is in the City of Canning, 12km south east of Perth CBD, near Curtin University’s main Bentley campus
• 15min drive from home if you live in Canning Vale, Gosnells, Maddington or Willeton
• Easily accessible via the Kwinana an Michell Freeway, Roe Highway and Tonkin Highway
• You’ll work 5 mins from Westfield Carousel
