The Practice

This is a unique opportunity for experienced and Registrar GP’s to work with Traditional Owners in a rich and rewarding region and to make a positive impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents. This community-controlled health organisation provides services to nine individual remote communities in the Eastern Katherine region. This inclusive Primary Health provider is dedicated to enacting their values of commitment, open-mindedness, honesty, respect, and education.

• Proactively provide primary health care services
• Collaborate with Nurses, Care Managers, Aboriginal health professionals, community-based workers, and Traditional Owners to enhance localised health initiatives
• Support with the screening, surveillance, collection, collation, and reporting of vital health data
• Facilitate the accurate and timely processing of Medicare claims to optimise our Medical Benefit Schedule claims.
• Standard business hours 8 am-4:30 pm
• No on-call outreach
• Access to a 4WD pool car
• Negotiable study leave

Katherine is right on the doorstep of the magnificent Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park, and is the kind of stunning locale you can only find in the Northern Territory.
