Rural Generalist - Carnarvon-Gascoyne Region (DPA/MMM7)

Are you a Rural Generalist who holds FRACGP or FRACCM; a General Registration GP under RVTS or ACRRM-IP; or overseas Specialist trained doctor from the UK, Ireland, New Zealand or South Africa eligible for Expedited Specialist Pathway or ACRRM-SP with current emergency, obstetrics and/or anaesthetics experience in a rural setting who is passionate about providing comprehensive care to a diverse community? The Position
As a District Medical Officer (DMO) - Procedural / Non-Procedural in Carnarvon in the Midwest region you will enjoy a varied scope of practice and provide comprehensive medical and community health services to a number of remote communities.

• Salaried post (NOT % of billings)
• Total Remuneration package up to $578k inclusive of 11.5% Super, PD allowance

• Rotational rosters - Full time (40hrs/week), part-time, sessional or FIFO rosters / On-call rosters
• Current ED skills and ALS2, ACLS, APLS, EMST/ATLS or GCCA essential
• FIFO rosters available to outreach clinics in Shark Bay, Coral Bay, Gascoyne Junction and Birregurra
• Carnarvon Health Campus outside of ED has a 12-bedded general ward
• Robust allied health dept. with physios, OT’s, SP, dietician, among others
• Radiologist dept. offers X-rays, CTs and USS

The Location
The Midwest/Gascoyne region is located in the northwest of Western Australia. It accounts for nearly one quarter of the state and services a catchment area of approx. 600,000 square kilometers. Carnarvon has much to offer families and visitors alike with a range of schooling and day care options
