DXC Process

DXC Medical has 15 years’ experience in permanent and locum GP recruitment, helping practices fill GP jobs efficiently. Our 6-step approach ensures the best candidates match your practice’s culture, values, and patient care standards.

Step 1. Arrange a time to discuss the vacancy

Complete the Post A Vacancy form, call or email to arrange a convenient time to discuss your permanent recruitment requirements. We will work around your availability to minimise the impact on your working day.

Step 2. Vacancy / Practice briefing

A detailed face-to-face, Skype, or telephone conversation designed to ensure we fully understand the values of your practice, demographics, and needs of your community and specific candidate criteria, before we commence the search.

This is a critical step in the process and we will take as much time as required to answer all of your questions. We will advise on the expected permanent recruitment timeframe and how to overcome any potential 19AA19AB (DPA), or other restrictions.

Urgent Care Centres are becoming an increasingly important part of Australia’s healthcare system, offering General Practitioners the opportunity to combine continuity-based general practice with hands-on acute care. For many GPs, working in urgent care provides variety, flexibility, and the chance to use procedural and emergency skills that may not be used regularly in traditional clinics. In this Inside Urgent Care feature, Dr Siva shares his first-hand experience transitioning into urgent care work, how it complements his existing GP role, and why he believes urgent care supports, rather than replaces, general practice in Australia.
